RUM RUNNER REGATTA

Hello everyone! Please see the Notice of Race below which will give you details about our upcoming regatta on Sunday the 25th of September.

This is the last regatta of our series this season, so come on out and race or learn to race or watch or catcall or whatever. Weather looks promising.

There will be a BBQ following at 5:00. Hamburgers and brats. $10 each. Come at 4:30 to enjoy the trophy presentation. The BBQ is open to all members and guests, not only racers.

Notice of Race

Lake Gregory Yacht Club (LGYC)

What: Annual End-of-Season LGYC Rum Runner Regatta

When: Sunday, September 25th, 2022

Where: Lake Gregory Regional Park// South Gate South Parking Lot,

near 24271 San Moritz Dr, Crestline, CA 92325, Crestline, CA 92325

Classes:

Class One: Laser, Soling1M, and DF 95

Class Two:  DF 65, V32, Nirvana, and others (if OK’ed by the Race Chair).

Directions: From Lake Gregory Drive, turn onto San Moritz Drive. Drive East (.1 miles) to Lake Gregory South parking lot. If you use Google maps, make sure you are headed to SOUTH PARKING verses the north shore address. NOTE: Self-serve fee for parking in South Parking Lot.

Time & classes: Skippers’ meeting at 11:30 AM at model boating area. Class One starts at 12:30 PM. Seven heats. (May be cut to five if winds are light.) Class Two will start 30 minutes following the end of Class One. NOTE: Classes may be combined but scored separately if numbers warrant.

Trophies: Trophies will be awarded for first place through third for each of Class One and Class Two finishers (irrespective of the type of boat sailed). There will be one throw out race for each skipper completing the series. Trophy presentations: LGYC clubhouse, 606 Forest Shade at 4:30 PM.

Regatta Fees: $5 to help offset trophy expense.

Cut off for entries: N/A. However, if one wishes to use a “loaner” Laser, Lasers will be available, at no cost, on first-come first-served basis.

Hospitality: Hamburgers and brats at LGYC at 5:00 PM. $10 cash each payable at clubhouse. BYOB.
